A HELOC is a form of revolving credit, kind of like a credit card -- you get an account with a certain maximum and, over a certain amount of time (called a "draw period"), you can draw on that maximum as you need cash. If there is a request to freeze the HELOC, we contact the lender and send an authorization letter (sent by customer). Once verified by the lender, we send the confirmation to the customer that the HELOC account has been frozen.
